It’s been a busy fall for the Fastweigh team. We’ve spent time with customers, joined industry gatherings in Washington and Denver, and gotten together in Knoxville to see what our development team has been working on. With more trips coming up before the end of the year, we thought we’d share a few highlights and let you know where you can catch us next.
Time with the Sherwood Companies team
In September, members of our team visited Sherwood Companies to talk through their accounts receivable workflows and the work surrounding them. Walking through those processes with the people who use them gave us useful direction as we plan improvements to Fastweigh’s AR tools.
We appreciate the Sherwood team taking the time to show us how they work and share their feedback. Those visits help us understand what would make a difference for the people using Fastweigh every day.

NAPA IMPACT in Washington, D.C.

We joined the National Asphalt Pavement Association’s IMPACT Leadership Conference on September 23–24. The program covered leadership and the policy decisions affecting asphalt producers and contractors, including the next surface transportation reauthorization.
Congressman James Walkinshaw’s remarks stayed with us: finding joy in your work, debating ideas while respecting the person across the table, and earning trust through consistent work. We were glad to spend a few days with the asphalt community and hear those perspectives firsthand.
Getting together in Knoxville

Some of our team gathered in Knoxville in October for an early look at major platform improvements in development. It was a chance to see the work taking shape together and talk about what it could mean for our customers.
We’re proud of the people behind Fastweigh, and we enjoyed sharing a few photos from the meeting. There’s more to share about the software as that work progresses.

Young Leaders in Denver

Project Manager Holden Jones represented Fastweigh at the NSSGA Young Leaders Meetup on October 26–27. The two days included educational sessions, a Denver Nuggets game, and a visit to Martin Marietta’s Spec Agg quarry near Denver.
Holden was impressed by the scale of the quarry, but his biggest takeaway was the value of the smaller gathering. There was time to get to know people and have longer conversations. He came back with plenty of photos and a strong recommendation that we attend more of these regional meetups.

Where we’re headed next
There’s still plenty on the calendar before the year wraps up, and we’re already looking ahead to 2027. Here’s what’s coming up:
- November 3–6 — CalCIMA Education Conference in Monterey, California.
- November 15–17 — PACA Annual Meeting & Honors Program in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
- November 19–20 — CSSGA/CRMCA Annual Conference in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
- December 1–2 — Illinois Association of Aggregate Producers Convention in Springfield, Illinois.
- December 2–3 — ARM of Minnesota Annual Convention & Gala in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
- December 3 — Michigan Aggregates Association Winter Conference in Birmingham, Michigan.
- December 14–16 — Florida Asphalt Expo and Conference in Orlando, Florida.
Looking into the new year, our calendar also includes the NAPA Annual Meeting, February 8–11 in Miami Beach, and AGG1 / World of Asphalt, March 15–17 in New Orleans.
If one of these events is on your calendar too, let’s find a time to catch up. We’d enjoy hearing what’s happening at your operation and sharing what we’ve been working on.
See our event calendar and set up a time to meet.
